Which hand should a lady wear her watch on?

Also, should the face of the watch be on the inside i.e on the same side as her palm or facing outwards?

Which hand should a lady wear her watch on?
Women wear watches on their wrist, not their hand. And it's personal preference for the left wrist (usually worn on the left if right handed) or the right wrist (usually worn on the right if left handed).

As for the watch face being on the outside or inside, it is usually worn facing out. But it is not wrong to wear it the other way.
Reply:When wearing a particularly expensive watch, it is widely known that persons who wear their watches facing IN tend to exert much more taste and class; mainly because of the sense of humbleness it shows and the surprise people get when you turn it over to glance at the time for a brief moment. Report It

Reply:It leaves them wondering, "wow.. that was a nice watch, I wish they would check for the time again so I can know what kind it was"... and they are left with the mystery in their head unless they are brave enough to ask you. And when they ask you, you are essentially being complimented. Report It

Reply:Left and the face should be showing. Old ladies where it upside down.
Reply:Wear it on the hand that you do not write with. The watch should be on the top of your wrist. (the back of your hand) and when you look at it the 12 should be on top
Reply:That depends on whether you are left or right handed. Otherwise it doesn't matter.
Reply:If she is right handed, on her left. If she is left handed on her right. It should face outwards.
Reply:A right handed person will wear the watch on the left hand . which ever is more comfortable is wheather she types all day should be up ward if she does physical work palm side hope this helps
Reply:I am left handed so i wear my watch on the right facing up so i can wright and see what time is at the same time!
Reply:always left............
Reply:The opposite hand you write with. (i.e. if you are right handed, then wear it on your left.)
Reply:i have no idea
Reply:Well: according to" Fashions the ladies wear their Watch

right handed" because it would be alot easy facing outwards"
Reply:which ever is most comfortable to you.
Reply:i wear mine on my left as i am predominatley right handed and i wear an evening watch face up and a work watch

facing palm side of my wrist (**) I didn't know i was so picky

hope this helps
Reply:whatever hand she feels comfortable with
Reply:its personal preference, which side you like which way you wear.

most of people wears their watch on the opposite wrist they don't use and facing up, because wear it on your dominate hand will banging against the table when you are writ ting, its inconvenience.
Reply:Well I've always worn mine on my left hand with the face facing upward.
Reply:Well it all depends on the person. I am right-handed, but I still where it my right wrist, most of the time I have it faced in to show off the band. I think the band is usually the prettiest thing.
Reply:Who cares?
Reply:which ever way they want...
Reply:On the left facing outwards.
Reply:i think that a lady should be conffy so what ever is conffy
Reply:I believe it should be worn on the left hand, regardless of whether you are right-handed or not. It is easier to wound up. It is a matter of personal preference regarding facing inside or outside. I buy watches because I like the design of the face, and therefore, I wear it facing outwards (otherwise it's just like a bracelet).
Reply:if you're a righty, wear watch on your left and vice versa. if you're a right and you wear watch on your right, there will be a possibility your watch will get scratch and all because when your hand is written something, the watch will be doing so too. it should face upward.
Reply:Whatever is most comfortable.
Reply:usually the left, but wearing it on whichever wrist is most comfy is best. it used to be cool to wear it that way..it isn't now.
Reply:It really is your preference BUT--that said some people instead of a ring for engagement will wear a watch and that is on the right wrist.

And in answer to the person who's snobby answer was that women didn't wear watches on their hands but on their wrist. Yes they do- ever heard of a watch ring. If you haven't you should get out more.

I like to wear my watch loose and it slides around but facing out top of wrist not palm side is customary, however I know a lot of nurses that wear theirs face on palm side of wrist.
Reply:left hand, and it should be facing outwards.. soemtimes the watch is a little big and dances around your wrist.
Reply:it is a matter of comfort... usually ladies should wear a watch on the left hand, with the dial facing in the direction of palm.
Reply:If you are right handed, watch on the left hand. If you are left handed, watch on the right hand. Watch facing up.
Reply:Whatever wrist it is most comfortable to that individual.

How dare people try to insist that I wear my watch on my left wrist simply because I write with my right hand?

I find it extremely physically uncomfortable and hugely inconvenient on my left arm. As for whether it is better to face in or out again that should be your personal choice.

I have never spilled a drink down my shirt checking the time nor do I bang up my watches more than the next guy (less in fact).

Wear it however it feels right.
Reply:opposite the hand you write with

Is there a web site that I may find information regarding the recent tornado damages in Palm coast Fla?

Specific area I am looking for is the Lady Lakes area. I have an address. My mom can't get in touch with her friend that lives there and the number we have is no longer. The tornado was recently and it went right through Lady Lakes. I thought there might be a site that list property addressess that were damaged.

What does a blue line on your palm in a dream mean?

I have heard others say that a blue line means something. Strange dream but basically I was getting my palm read.

And I had a blue line going downward in the middle. This lady palm reader says I am going to be financially successful. (can only wish)

Then I was dressed in nice clothes (still in my palm) and this man was beside my right. Turns out he was Jesus. (bit embarrassing)

Then I look down and see my sister in law. She's further down my palm.

Weird stuff. I freaked and woke up straight away.

What does a blue line on your palm in a dream mean?
Its a big dream ; the blue line is very lucky and the palm readers may have told you the truth but I know the colour blue means[ in a dream] healing and seeing Jesus mean spirituality
Reply:it means you are going to get paid for sex.
Reply:some psycologist say that we dream what we want to dream, it is us fufilling what cannot be fufilled in real life, which would explain things like "palm readers" "jesus" "and your sister in law"... perhaps there is something personal going on between you two, and in your sleep, you focus on it unconciously?

Under what circumstances is it appropriate to kiss a lady's hand?

Should this be done only if you have met the lady previously and are acquainted? If not,m when then?

And where should the kiss be placed? On the fingers, the knuckles or the top of the hand opposite the palm?

Under what circumstances is it appropriate to kiss a lady's hand?
It is the mark of a true gentleman to gently take a lady's outstretched hand and instead of shaking it, bend down and offer a neat kiss upon the back (opposite her palm). In doing this, he is stating that he considers her to be a lady of the highest regard and he is showing his respect for her.

This happens often in my life (I am in the SCA as well, where chivalry is most definitely alive and thriving), but each time I am delighted anew and still blush.

The kiss should be quick and dry and eye contact should be made upon the man straightening again. This does not have to be a romantic gesture.
Reply:There are nations that frown upon the actions. Europeans may consider it chivalrous but coming from a man with a different culture they may suspect some mischief.

As an Asian, I kiss the hands of the elders as a sign of respect. Oftentimes I placed their hands to my forehead. I kiss the hand of my girlfriend as an endearing gesture but only when I want her to know how much I truly love her with utmost respect.
Reply:When you and the lady are on good terms and she likes you. Do not go around kissing ladies' hands whom you meet for the first time, they might think you are a Romeo. Kiss on the finger near the knuckles or on the hand above the knuckles.
Reply:Heh, my younger brother [23] bowed well and kissed the hand of each Princess he came across when we went to Disney World.

Traditionally, instead of shaking a woman's hand, I will accept her hand when offered, bow some, and lower my head over it if it is a casual meeting. In business meetings I shake a woman's hand so that she may feel that I consider her no different than a man in the business (she is not a woman to me at that moment). If it is a woman I do not know, I will leave it at that, and no contact will be made, but the gesture remains. If it is an acquaintence, I will let my lips hover over the hand, but again, no contact. Close friends and my significant other get kisses on the hand, usually on the back of the hand, toward the middle, a very rare few (maybe two) on the palm.

It can be done if you are part of the SCA, at a Renaissance Faire, or whenever you feel it is appropriate. However, I have gotten strange or rude looks and comments in response on occasion, mostly from women who find it an antiquated ritual that was "thankfully" gotten rid of with the feminist movement, or believed I had an ulterior motive; which, being quite uninterested in most of them, is hardly the case. But, most of the time they just look perplexed and complimented, which is part of the pleasure in doing it. I believe if you do it well, your intent will be shown, whether it is merely a greeting, or something more.
Reply:For this technique to work you must, and i mean must, be at a tea party. Then and only then will she let you into her castle.
Reply:Don't kiss the hand of a woman or what you call a Lady, unless your gonna meet Queen Elizabeth. Then it is appropriate. When you kiss her hand, place the kiss right on top of her hand, opposite the palm. The women now days, do not want to be kissed on the hand. Some Countries might carry on with that practice, and some do not. But Un-less it is a Royal person, don't kiss any womans hand. Ugh !!
Reply:The kiss should be placed on top of the hand between the wrist and the knuckels. It should be given to women who are single, and in today society could be used as a way to flirt. as to when, it should be used as a greeting, either when you are first introduced or when you are saying goodbye. the kiss should be gentle and brief.
Reply:You Should DEFINATLY only kiss Royal Women. And if you do, it should be while you are just saying "Hello! Good Day" to her.
Reply:The kiss should be placed on top of your own thumb, not on the lady's hand because if the lady didn't wash her hands, you can catch a disease.
Reply:I think it's always appropriate to kiss the back of a lady's hand...but not on the knuckle area, you kiss on the top part of the hand. It's a respectful thing and is very gentlemanly when a man does that for a woman.

I have had it happen in my regular life and also in my SCA life.

"i did some work for a lady on her house in west palm beach county, florida. drew a contract up, both signed.

now that i am at the end for the work being done. she decided to tell me that she is getting someone else to finish the job and refuses to pay me for the extra work that was done. what kind of recourse do i have?

"i did some work for a lady on her house in west palm beach county, florida. drew a contract up, both signed.
You can place a mechanic's lien against her property for any amounts she refuses to pay you. Such a lien will prevent her from refinancing, selling, or doing anything else with the title to her property until she clears the lien.
Reply:I agree with the person above and make sure you let her know that you will be doing this, as well as taking her to court to sue her for the $$ she owes you.
Reply:if the contract contained ALL terms (work to be done/payment expected) in writing..then she HAS to honor it. Even if she goes with another contractor to finish her house's work..she still owes you the amount stipulated in your contract. You CAN take her to court over this. First, I'd explain to her that she DID sign the contract, and that she has to honor it...and give her the option of either a.) paying you what you're owed or b.) hear from your lawyer. You'd be surprised how quickly people pay when faced with the possibility of being dragged in front of a judge. Good luck!
Reply:File a lien on her property for the money owed and/or take her to small claims court.
