Just realized us men cant win for losing...?

Being married sounds good and all but the lust is like that "new car smell", it doesnt last long. The wife runs a monopoly on the (you know) and you better not stray or she'll have your (you know) in court and try to get all she can. Its not my fault I am a man with a high sex drive and I dont ask for much. She wants to make a schedule for sex. I want to make spontaneous sex. She wants to watch tv in the night. I want to see her naked in the night because I cant watch no other "real life girl in person" at night. All the ladies on my job want to take a ride in "my car" while my wife prefers to walk? I dont get it. My (you know) is gonna fall of due to lack of in-activity? Too old for Rosie Palms!

Just realized us men cant win for losing...?
Too old for Rosie? What, you've got arthritis or something? Jeez, man, that's like a little black dress - it'll never go out of style!

As to your wife.... you don't ask for "much" but you don't define what "much" is. I'd say if she's not giving it up at least 2x monthly, she has a problem (like, a medical problem, and she should see a doctor). If it's between 2-10x monthly, and it's just not enough for you, I'd say there's a disconnect between your sex drives; this can be handled by a little generosity on her part ("yes" when she'd really rather say "no," maybe oral when she's really not feeling the vibe) and a little self-gratification on your part....and keeping things interesting never hurts either. If it's more than 10x monthly, I'd say you just need to quit whining and learn to take matters into your own hands, so to speak. ;D
Reply:lol...lol.... well...you know....You don't need those "Rosie " palms...... Get a truck and then you won' be tempted to take girls in your car... The seats r smaller and you can't move around well.... ha ha!!.... you know.... u really r right about the spontaneous thing ...it is better... U need to work on this....you know.... ha ha ...
Reply:Oh no! You married an accountant, didn't you? Bad move, dude.... WAY bad move. Sex is one of those things you guys should have agreed on before you got married; otherwise you'll experience problems in the long run, as you are finding out.

Maybe you two can work out a compromise, like TiVo if it's her favorite program, and a nice risqué movie to help put her in the mood if she's still hesitant and wants the TV on.

Of course, it goes without saying.... but are there any *other* problems in the relationship that could be precipitating this? Have you made sure she feels special, emotionally fulfilled, and (really important) gets her rocks off during sex as well? Did you know her sex drive was this low BEFORE you got married? Or is it a recent development?

Hate to say it, but your situation is one of the primary reasons I advocate a "try before you buy" approach to "your car" (as you aptly put it) instead of saving it until marriage. Let this serve as fair warning about the dangers of having your church group plan your sex life for you! ;-)
Reply:just realizing it? yes, we make all the rules. and if you want, you know, you better be good at fixing what you want so you get more, you know.
Reply:pal you got that right in my opion?
Reply:Have you tried to tell your wife this. I mean have you just told her the way you did here? Try it. She needs to hear you tell her how much you love her and want to be with her in ALL ways. Tell her how you would love to see her in some nice lingerie, maybe tell her your favorite color and ask her would see be willing to wear some. Tell her a schedule for intimate time with her isn't going to work for you . Tell her how that makes you feel. Like she thinks she's too busy for you or something. And tell her if you have to make an appointment with her to share your most intimate time and thoughts then maybe you should look for it somewhere else. Let her see your not kidding either. Wives are suppose to subject to their husband not make them make an appointment. Those people are called Hookers. And your not married to a Hooker, unless that's what she wants to start acting like and then ask her how much will it cost you. If she gets mad then good now you can tell her this is why you won't go on a schedule to be with her and something else will have to be done.
Reply:What SOME of you men don't realize is that foreplay for women starts with non-sexual things. Try telling her how pretty she is, help with the kids, approach her in a romantic NON-SEXUAL way. If that does not work then let some of the ladies at your job ride in " your car."
Reply:I feel so sorry for you. I'm sure YOU fufill HER in every way possible, right?

Marriage is about more than your sex drive, so the victim act is wasted on me. If it bothers you though, why don't you try using that energy to talk to your wife about it, instead of coming up with bizarra similes ("ride in your car" - wtf)?
Reply:If you're married, let's talk like big boys and girls, okay? "(you know)"'s are actually called words like penis and sex.

First, comparing your wife to the women you work with is bad on SO many levels. The obvious (continuing to think about all the girls wanting sex while you aren't getting any from your wife) can cause you to consider cheating. The reality of believing the other women want sex and your sex life would be better with THEM leaves one very important factor out: it would probably change, if it weren't taboo, and you were in a long-term monogamous relationship. The secrecy, the clandestine nature of an extramarital fling is the largest factor in its appeal. If those women lived with you day in and day out, washing your underwear and socks, paying bills, trading off diaper duty, etc., the majority of the appeal would go flying out the window.

I have to ask, how much time and effort do you put into trying to fulfill HER needs, as well? She has some, and they may not be sexual, so you may not be aware of them. One of my main needs that can help me want sex with my husband at night is for him to actually not sit there and make me do all the childcare, all the laundry, all the cooking, all the dishes, etc. By the end of the night, I'm exhausted, and he's horny, wanting to have sex, and I'm thinking, "It's partly YOUR fault I'm this tired!!!"

Also, I've heard from him, at times when we go a long dry spell, that I haven't been fulfilling his needs in however long. In the past year and a half, almost EVERY time I've actually asked him "Hey, do you mind if we just cuddle?" (and I'm serious, it's happened three or four times) he apparently hears "You're not getting sex, so roll over and go to sleep." It's not a consolation prize, it's me actually saying "I need non-sexual physical contact." and him saying "No thanks." It may have been two weeks since we've had sex, but it's been nearly two years since he's actually bothered himself with fulfilling that need for me. He's definately got the better deal.

Considering the fact that most women do the majority of the housework, and also work outside the home, if you want spontaneous sex, you might want to work up to it, taking some of the work off her, so she can get her mind and body ready for it. Spontaneously deciding to have sex after she's worked her butt off all day and all evening while you watched wrestling is not going to end well.

Make up a semi-schedule. Give her a little advanced notice. It takes more for a lot of women to get in the mood, so if you actually work that up in a caring way ("Hey baby let's get it on" does NOT count as a sensitive or caring way to give her notice), you could find her more willing to relax and have sex. Similarly, if you know there is a time period where you will NOT be successful in getting ehr to have sex, because it will just annoy the heck out of her (for me, it's bedtime or when I FINALLY get to sleep -- I work hard, and if he's going to wait until I finally get done with everything and eventually fall asleep, I do NOT appreciate him waking me up for sex), avoid trying to get it then
Reply:How old are you? God you are so confused and have no idea how to be a married person. Stop winging and work on your marriage because you reap what you sow.
Reply:well aren't we horny, look marriage is alot more than how many time you can get it on with your wife, you married her because of something you liked about her, and now your figuring out it was just sex, you need to work on everything else in your marriage if your not willing to give it up because of being afraid of loosing your materialistic junk, love your wife, because she married a sap like you,be grateful
Reply:do you thinkyou make her feel sexy? if so all i can say is set the mood.maybe if you start it she will follow your lead.

I think the Islamic examples are clearer as they seem so foreign but I have a feeling if the Christian fundamentalists got into power things would be similar too.

Ladies 32 weeks plus... does this happen to you?

I started noticing this at 32 weeks... my doctor said it was because of decreased blood circulation due to carrying a baby.

If I take a really deep breathe then exhale the palms of my hands get that pins-and-needles sensation, like how it feels when your foot falls asleep or something. It doesn't always happen but I'd say 90% of the time and as I get closer (36 weeks now) it's more and more.

Not annoying, just weird... has anyone else had this happen?

Ladies 32 weeks plus... does this happen to you?
Your doctor is right. Your circulatory system has expanded so much that there isn't enough blood to fill every point of it at any particular time. (If there is a lot in your lungs, there isn't a lot in your extremities). It's totally normal.

I had it to the point where I would pass out.
Reply:It doesn't happen to me when I take deep breaths but I get that pins and needles feeling in my hands and feet quite frequently now (I'm 34 weeks). It is just strange but it goes away so I don't worry about it =0)
Reply:Oh wow, I get this almost every night. I wake up and my hands and arms feel like they have pins and needles in them!
Reply:Yes, mine started at 22 weeks and lasted up until I had my son 3 weeks ago. It was the strangest feeling. My doctor said the same thing. For me it happened when I slept too, that was annoying because I'd wake up and both hands would have the needle feeling and be asleep. I hated that. It will all be over for you soon. Good luck and congrats!
Reply:I remember this happening to me with my first daughter
Reply:I didn't feel that way, but it is very normal to.

Ladies would you date a man with this skin condition? please read?

i have a rare form of psoriasis on the palms of my hands and feet. And there is a little on my scalp. I just started taking shots for it so i hope it gets better. But i am very very self consious about it, other people have told me its not bad but i cant help it. anyway would that matter? I am actually pretty decent looking and i take care of myself. I am in my 30's. Oh and its not contagious or anything it is caused by my immune system attacking the skin on my hands and feet. Serious answers only please thank you.

Ladies would you date a man with this skin condition? please read?
Try to not worry about it because stress will just make it worse. Many people have some sort of ailment... athritis, extreme dandruff, allergic rashes, ulcers, etc. You realize, of course, that thousands of people have psorias that covers their entire body. So, if you are an otherwise healthy and nice, sincere guy, you would definitely be datable. If a woman is going to focus on your hands and the bottoms of your feet, then she is not the caliber of person you would want to be with anyway.

So, no, it would not matter.
Reply:it depends on how bad it looks
Reply:Everybody has some blemish. Your condition is not too bad and not contagious, so try not to worry too much because stress will make it worse. I'm sure your doctor would have told you some ways to temporarily clear the skin of psoriasis like topical therapy or internal medications for more severe cases. Just take good care of yourself. If you are a caring and honest man, you will surely be able to find the woman of your dream. And if you ask for my opinion, yes you are absolutely datable.

Ladies... is there any fruit that seduces you...?

Take an orange for example.

The color, so alluring. The fragrance, taking in the sweet odor

with every breath. The texture, delightfully pleasing to the touch.

Feeling its firmness in the palm of your hand as you fight back

the sensation to squeeze, yet knowing that the juices inside start

to flow as you fondle the delectable fruit.

And then the enticing toughts of a seductive peeling of its outer

layer. Finding just the right spot to begin. Gently removing the

genesis of ecstasy. Taking your time to comb over every morsel

of fiber awaiting separation from its inner core.

Just when you think you can't hold back any longer, you move

towards the orange's fault line. Exposing the virgin like center to

the warmth of your breath as you spread it gently apart. Your eyes

looking for a glimpse of the horizon that awaits you.

Why do animals always walk up to me?

ever since i was younger animals have justed walked up to me

every time im near cats they always walk up to me, one day i was at the vet waiting for my friend and his dog and this ladies cat jumped out her arms and jumped on my lap and streched out and layed all over me, everybody in the waiting room was like what the f**k

i didnt have any food with me or any cologne on and i hadnt been handling any other animals.

birds, squirrels and rats always walk up to me when im walking on the streets. i had birds land in the palm of my hand before.

the one thing i will never get is i walking down the street and saw a rat and jumped like crazy and my bag of mcdonalds fries went everywhere and the rat followed me for like 3 feet and then i stopped when my little brother noticed it and the rat had a fry in its mouth and brought it to me and dropped it in front of top my shoe and turned around and went back to the fries on the ground, that scared the s**t out of me

Why do animals always walk up to me?
maybe your'e really st. francis of assisi, hey it's a thought
Reply:You must carry alot of positive energy - animals can sense it better than most people... Keep it up! Maybe consider doing the veterinary profession a favor :)
Reply:The animals sense that you like animals. Animals can pick up on a persons' nature and whether they'll be kind to them or not - My cat does! You're like an animal whisperer.
Reply:Perhaps they are attracted to your energy. In a vibrational sense.
Reply:YOUR GOD!!!!!!!!!!

Reply:Maybe you smell like hotdogs
Reply:haha thats really cool, i wish animals did that to me! lol
Reply:Maybe you smell nice.
Reply:Did you ever hear it said, that animals are a good judge of character. If a animal does not like someone say a dog, they will posture and growl, or show their teethe, or their hair stands up.They feel what you are thinking. Trust my dog more than i trust most people for sure. You always know when the dog will attack you, just gotta watch what they do. My guess is, the animals know you are a kind soul. I am concerned about the rats. Have never seen one in my life. That you do not want near you!
Reply:It's a mystery Dr. Doolittle, =] , but that used to happen to me when I was younger, it astonished my brother when I saw a wild bird sitting on the ground and I just walked up to it and it came to me and let me pick it up. I pet it for a bit and put it back down and my brother thought it may have been injured but it flew away! I always talked to cats too, didnt know what the heck I was saying but they'd answer me back! You know we have an aura around us and I firmly believe that animals can read it and know who they can and can't trust. Enjoy it there are not many who can lay claim to what you do.

I have horrible anxiety when I have to talk to anyone I don't know or more than 10 people in a crowd?

Today I knew my poem was winning the district award for Red Ribbon Week(drug free week) and I was going to have to read it. I was ok, expecting about 50 parents and the other kids who won awards. I got there, walked in the door, and almost started crying. I was hyperventilating, which was making my bronchitis cough so much worse, and begging my mom to take me home. She was going to until my principal walked in the door and waved at me. She came and sat by us, and could tell something was wrong. My mom told her I was sick, and I'm sure I looked like it. My cheeks were flushed, my palms dripping with sweat, my cough was unstoppable, and I was dizzy. She gave me a wink and told me she would get the lady presenting the awards to read my poem for me. I was relieved, but still freaking out. This happens every time I need to present anything, whether it's to my class or the 300 people at the ceremony. What can I do? I tried to make myself do it but I just couldn't.

I have horrible anxiety when I have to talk to anyone I don't know or more than 10 people in a crowd?
It's extreme shyness and it often gets better as you get older. I used to be really shy too, like if a kid on my street said hello to me, I would be too shy to say hello back or use their name, although I don't know why I was so scared. I just was.

The only cure for it is to slowly keep doing it and eventually you will get comfortable. I was the kid who couldn't say high to another kid without sweating with fear, who couldn't even speak loud enough for others to hear, who used to get a stomach ache during round robin reading just thinking about when it was my turn to read, and guess what?

Now I'M the teacher!! Now I have NO problem getting up in front of any classroom of any age and speaking. I'm subbing now and today I had goofball 8th graders. If they sensed uncertainty on my part, they would've eaten me alive, but I have no problems and just think they're goofy now :)

It wasn't always like that. Even though I got over most of my shyness as an adult, when I gave my first lesson to a group of 3rd graders, I broke out into a major sweat. But when you do something day after day, and in front of different people, it just becomes 2nd nature.

Try taking small steps, like saying hello to the employees of the store or the waitress and smiling. Look them in the eye. Later you can talk more to them like asking them for help. It also helps to remember that when you present to your class, the other kids are often just as nervous as you are about presenting. I hope this helps!! :)
Reply:Dear friend. Do not feel alone, the fear of crowds is the most common problem. It is ok to have all those symptoms. It will be so useful if you could talk to a psychiatrist about it. He will help you to cope with this problem. Meanwhile to loose the fear of crowds the best thing you can do is to read and do presentations in front of crowds. The more you do it the more you will build the self confidence. (I am really shy and have learn to manage this, although I still get a little anxious). Good luck. Argentox2@yahoo.com
Reply:You have a misunderstanding of who people are. You see them as short tempered and very judgemental of you. Here are some facts to set things straight in your mind:

1.) People spend 99% of their time thinking about themselves, regarless of the situation or cirumstance. This fact is important because you need to understand that no matter how bad you look or how big a mistake you make people REALLY DONT CARE. They may think, "oh that was a stupid thing she just did." and before the thought is finished they are thinking "I hope I look good right now, is my hair perfect? r those guys looking at me?, uuhg..I have to do so much stuff at home........." and the thoughts trail. NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU AS MUCH AS YOU DO because they are too busy thinking about how they look. This is something great to remeber when doing any presentations. The truth is, you should really be focusing on HOW TO GET their attention. Honestly, its really hard to make people pay attention to what u r saying or doing. Go to your presentations with confidence, and if the people listen or even remeber what u said or did, u have accomplished a minor miracle.

2.) People like helping other people because it makes them feel like they are doing their job/ deserve to be paid, and it makes them feel important that someone would need their assistance. Next time you have a question or need help with something, ASK! It will make someones day to think that THEY were the ones to help somebody. Just remeber how you feel when somebody asks you for help or comes to you with a question. You feel smart and important. Well people really arent that different from eachother.

Here is a final tip about giving presentations to a large group of people: Do not look directly at any one person. Look right above everyones heads, or at their foreheads. This will appear that you are looking at the audience, but you really wont be. Move your head side to side every once in a while and keep looking at people just above their heads. NOBODY LIKES PEOPLE STARING AT THEM. You should avoid looking at people not because u are afraid to look at them, but because they will feel uncomfortable to have you looking at them.

When u finally have enough practice presenting to people, you can glance at people here and there. You will see something you did not expect. THE MOMENT YOU START TALKING, PEOPLE START THINKING ABOUT OTHER STUFF AND DONT REALLY EVEN LOOK AT YOU. Some people find this discovery discouraging and they usually return to looking above peoples heads. It helps them focus on what they are saying and feel more important than they really are. You will find the bigger the crowd, the less people are really listening to you.

Fall.....?

OK ladies,

so here's what happened..

I was walking briskly towards my house, and my friends yelled my name from outside ( I live in the back house.) So as I turned around, my ankle stumbled (?clumsy??) and I fell. I caught most of myself with my hand (or palm) and I slightly landed on my hip. Do you think I did any damage to my baby? I know falls don't really cause miscarriages at first, but what about at 14 wks.. ? It's just been on my mind all day and I'm seriously sort of worried.

Serious answers please and thank you.

Fall.....?
I wouldn't worry so much If i were you.

I am sure the baby is fine, babies are very well cushioned in the uterus and it would be difficult to do any harm to it. Especially as early along as you are. Even women who find out that they are pregnant and do not want the baby and fall down steps are unlikely to have harmed the baby. So unless it is accompanied by cramping, backpain, and bleeding. I wouldn't worry. Right now im 27 weeks pregnant. I tripped and fell so many times just out of plain clumsiness. But, I knew baby was well protected in his home :). If your still worried though you can always talk to your health provider and they can do an exam and check the heartbeat to see if everything is okay. But , personally you have nothing to worry about.
Reply:You'd know by now if there was something wrong with the baby, like having a lot of pain and bleeding. I agree that if you are worried go to the doctor. They understand. The baby is in a very well protected home. It would take a lot of blunt force to hurt it. Even so to make yourself at ease go to the doctor. There is nothing like worrying yourself into stress. I fell when I was about 8 months with my second child. I fell on my stomach but caught most of myself on my hands and knees ( I was huge) I cried but not because of pain but of embarrassment. I knew she was fine, but a doctor visit won't hurt a thing, it well put your mind at rest. And when you are pregnant you need all that you can get.
Reply:It most likely did no harm. Baby is very well protected by the amniotic fluid. The only warning I would give is to watch for period like cramping, extra watery fluid, and bleeding. I did the exact same thing at 7 months pregnant and baby has been fine. I fell again the other day right on my butt. I went to the E.R. and everything was fine also. Try not to stress too bad, and good luck.
Reply:My sister moved to Montana during her pregnancy with my niece and slipped on the ice on the trip there. She was in late second or early third trimester. She actually fell on her belly, but everything was fine. It wouldn't hurt to call the doctor and get it checked out, just for your state of mind. However, I think babies are pretty resilient and our bodies do a lot to protect them.
Reply:i think that you are probably and that the baby is ok but i know the doctors still like to check you and the baby out to make sure everything is ok so i would call the ob part of the hospital and ask them what they want you to do and good luck with baby
Reply:that baby is in the most protected spot of your body, it is probably fine, while you are the one that is bruised, shaken and probably in shock. You did not land on your belly, so you should be fine.

If you are at all worried, contact your healthprovider.
Reply:PLEASE! if you have any doubt on urgent and serious things like that, don't ever come to yahoo answers first. Your doctor must be the first person that comes to your mind, and that you should tell him everything in details. He'll know what to do.
Reply:well i think if you fill fine you gonna be fine but if your that worried call your dr and tell him/her what had happend and you and worried they will tell you and even give you and altrasound
Reply:You should be fine. The baby is surrounded pretty good with fluid. I wouldn't worry unless you fell on your belly. You could visit your doctor just to be sure.
Reply:I'm sure everything is just fine but I'd call your Dr. for an ultrasound just to be sure. As long as your not having any strong cramping or bleeding everything is most likely fine. Bless!
Reply:I think u should be fine, but i would definately go to the dr and get an ultrasound done and make sure everything is ok.

take better care of urself.

good luck.
Reply:Don't worry about it, your baby is too small to even know whats goin on at 14 weeks.
Reply:im 99% sure that the baby is fine. dont worry about it, but if u really cant stop worrying u could go see ur doc and ask him

Democracy: Can we trust systems that have no accountability?

* With electronic voting machines tabulating more than 80 percent of the ballots cast in America,

* Seattle grandmother Bev Harris set out to determine the obvious: Do they work?

* Based on the evidence presented here, the answer is "not really"

* The picture that emerges as Harris unearths a treasure trove of info about mishandled votes and the inner workings of the machines is that they're not only fallible but also highly vulnerable to hacking.

http://www.bbvforums.org/forums/messages...

* This wonderful documentary proves my point that we have the best democracy that money can buy

* along with our judicial system.

* This film is more frightening than any horror film I've seen, because THIS IS REAL!

* And this is movie biased?

* Not at all.

* It's an absolute eye opener that shows that your vote really doesn't count; and make sure you watch the deleted scenes(another 33 minutes of fantastic footage).

This is an excellent documentary that I think every American should see before they vote again. This is not a movie about Bush vs. Kerry or Republicans vs. Democrats. Its about our current voting system and exposing a multitude of problems with that system as demonstrated in the 2004 election. We are told "EVERY VOTE COUNTS" and this documentary exposes the corruption, mistruths, and shameful negligence and mishandling of these "VOTES" in a way that cannot be denied nor ignored - unless you don't watch it for yourself.

This is a must-see documentary, especially for those still doubtful about whether elections in this country can be tampered with. The answer is yes, yes, yes!!! Kudos to Bev Harris who has dedicated years to exposing the corruption surrounding electronic voting. Get this. After Hacking Democracy's premiere on HBO, Harris received death threats. That's how risky and powerful her work is.

This is an amazing documentary showing that there are problems with the way we vote in America. When a normal everyday citizen gets up and challenges the system, you see how the system fights back. This woman doesn't give up like most of us would and shows us and one election official in Florida that the way our voting system was run and still is, has errors.

If you are an American %26amp; have the ability to vote, please do yourself a favor and put this in your queue immediately(especially since this is an election year). This wonderful documentary proves my point that we have the best democracy that money can buy, along with our judicial system. This film is more frightening than any horror film I've seen, because THIS IS REAL! And this is movie biased? Not at all. It's an absolute eye opener that shows that your vote really doesn't count; and make sure you watch the deleted scenes(another 33 minutes of fantastic footage).

Even though I also watched the original slasher classic Black Christmas, this was the scariest movie I saw over the Christmas break. Although the filmmakers obviously have every reason to sensationalize potential problems with electronic voting systems ("good news is no news," right?), the implications here are frightening. Not only did Bev Harris (founder of a non-partisan watchdog group) find voting machine code unprotected on the internet, she was able to successfully hack it and prove that results could be manipulated (you can watch this being done in a matter of seconds in this film). The lack of oversight of the companies who control the majority of electronic voting is astounding, almost as bad as the sloppy manner in which our government oversees the elections themselves.

Probably the scariest movie I've watched in a long time. The production value isn't good, but its worth sitting through to find out just how easy it would be for just one person with an agenda to manipulate the outcome of an election.

Politics in America is scarey enough, but when you see what is going on with our elections system, you will just go through the roof. We have hoped through the last few centuries that a government of the people, by the people and for the people would not parish from the face of the earth, and that America would be its shining example. After viewing this flick, you will realize just how tarnished our example has become. We have realized in the past decades, that money rules, and it just feels like our votes don't count, only the money that backs our politicians. Only the corporations and special interests have access to the politicians these days, not the people that vote. This picture goes a long way to explaining how that happens. After realizing the truths in this documentary, I feel even more helpless and useless to change a corrupt government by my vote. Did my vote get counted? How would I even know? The facts put forth in this program are just about incredible, but you come away realizing their powerful credibility. I wondered why their hasn't been criminal prosecution of the election fraud that is running rampant in our country today? Where are prosecuters? Why aren't elections officials who ignore our right to have our votes counted, recounter and certified being placed on trial for crimes against the electorate? You owe it to yourself and your country to see this documentary long before the next election. Don't miss this one!

Wow. I just finished watching this documentary, and I can't believe what I heard and saw. This is not another Michael Moore speculative film that makes assumptions with no factual evidence. This is incredible. Everyone should see this film. It is truly an amazing look inside of our election system.

We must all see this movie. It's not JUST about elections. It's about the undermining of our society, the breakdown. My opinion is that we should get away from secret voting and out into the public. Democracy is where WE THE PEOPLE elect our officials. You must see this to know why I write this.

This is what makes America great: a woman, with a full life, puts it all behind her because she has come across the ultimate injustice and knows that she must right it. This is the story of the creation of the group and webpage BlackBoxVoting.com Having found the Diebold's source code, a code that not even the President of the United States can see, Bev Harris takes the code to an expert. What is revealed causes Harris to criss cross America, to prove the fact that Diebold had literally hijacked democracy. Although it's possible, it's difficult to believe that anyone can think that the 2004 Presidential Election wasn't rigged after viewing this film. A 'must see' for every American.

One of the scariest movies I've ever seen... because it's true. If you liked 'All the presidents men' or 'The Insider' You'll like this movie. Actually come to think of it, what this story needs is a treatment like the above mentioned movies so the message could have a broader appeal beyond this documentary.

Highly recommedable as the documentary reveals what we all have been suspecting and fearing in an objective and somewhat scientific way. It is quite timely, and I think we can all relate to the topic at hand. I was touched by the reaction of some of the people in the movie when they proved how the voting system can be hacked without much effort

This film is all about voting machines and how votes are tabulated. It makes mincemeat of the Diebold Corporation, manufacturer of a large percentage of the electronic voting machines used in the United States. It reveals Diebold officials making lie after lie about the security of their machines. The makers of the film meticulously document how, using Diebold's machines and data cards, someone with just a basic understanding of the technology involved (including, certainly, any Diebold employee) could rig the vote count, on one machine or on thousands of them, with absolutely no record that the rigging was ever done. The film also reveals how Diebold's chief executive officer was (and maybe still is) a large contributor to the Republican Party. He once wrote a letter stating that he would "deliver" Ohio's electoral votes in the 2004 presidential election for George W. Bush. The film later shows how his company managed to persuade Cuyahoga County, Ohio (where Cleveland is) to buy its machines. Maybe there is nothing fishy going on there, but appearances matter! Lest the film be seen as partisan, it features, among others, a Republican office-seeker from Louisiana who, after losing her race, went to view a demonstration of the machines that the voters used. As part of the demonstration she pressed the button next to her name, and the machine registered a vote for her opponent. Hmmm. She was understandably troubled. Moreover, the film points out that in many parts of the country it is in fact the local Republican Party that is wary of electronic voting machines, not the Democrats. Hacking Democracy also reveals problems with punch card voting systems--problems that dwarf the famous "hanging chad" problem of the 2000 presidential vote count in Florida. The film's message is distressing, but it is one all American citizens should hear and see.

Yes, the documentary could use a bit of editing, but the points raised are valid enough to keep it interesting. Instead of taking a partisan view on the movie, realize how intensly frightening this movie really is. Should it be just one grandmother's job to inform us how we're being duped? No. It's our responsibility as citizens to stay informed and demand voting accuracy.

It leaves you with your head shaking, wondering how the history of the last 8 years might read if the vote-tampering exposed in Hacking Democracy hadnt been possible. SA 1674508, Yazheirx, JR 65420, RS 305556, their reviews are absolutely the threat that we all have about democracy. It is because their kind of ignorance that this movie is a 5 star and a must for every single human being to watch and learn. There is no excuse for any voting system to be too technical, too complex, too secret that we cannot prove what the votes were years from when the votes were taken. Not even 50 years, not even 100 years, not even 1000 years, not ever. For anyone to suggest that the electronic voting system is not possible to understand and to do a documentary for by a handful of heroic citizens, it is an insult to this country and democracy. Let these be the commandments of election: 1) No voting methods should be more complicated than what pen/pencil can do on a ballot. 2) Vote handling in any election process should be transparent to the public no matter when, why, how, what, who. 3) Only 100% accuracy should be accepted. Anything less then 100% should be recounted no matter how many times, how long it takes, and how much it cost to be 100% accurate. 4) Without 100% accuracy, election cannot be concluded. Another election should be conducted immediately without further delay.

Like several other reviewers I wanted to like this movie but the spin and lack of solution suggestions prevented me. I agree with the need for more transparency with voting machines. I think we should have an open source voting program such that interest groups can spend their money to improve them. I still could not get past the spin. The final documentary cardinal sin for me is - no solution recommended. I am all for people pointing out problems and issues, but please at least spend 2 minutes exploring what we could do (Who killed the electric car did this well). They did not even suggest the simplest of solutions use write once memory.

It takes movies like this to open up your eyes to the reality behind fraudulent and deceitful practices. From an early age, we are conditioned to believe what the government tells us. Fortunately, we have warriors like these folks who are willing to risk it all to uncover the truth. I applaud the movie makers who did this not for their own good, but to bring honor back to the one thing has makes us stand out as a nation... the right to vote. One of the most moving comments I heard was from the lady's husband (an African-American male)... who basically said "we have spent decades fighting for the right to vote, and we're not about to let that go for naught. If you vote, or you will someday vote... WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!

She discovers and unlocks a engine search on Google only to enter a world of lying, cover ups and deceit. The deliciously evil DieBold Company is as diabolical as they come with an evil CEO and his assorted flunkies trying to project their steadfast competancy, while trying cover up their sophomoric mechanical process that cannot begin to promise accuracy for determining vote tabulations. This documentary was further proof that Government should never be fully trusted, especially when they lean heavily on corporate interests and "free markets." I advise anyone who intends to vote again to watch this. Yes, it can be too dramatic at times, but that is forgivable because of the point they're trying to make here. The last two presidential elections were stolen from the people, are we going to let this happen again?

She's just like you and I...but on an amazing, dedicated crusade to demand the truth within our voting system. This is not done in the same fashion as Michael Moore films (although I like M.M.....I take his spin on things with a grain of salt)....It is much more "real" and simplistic...Please watch if you care about the democratic system and our "gift" of the freedom to vote for our representatives!! You will think twice about whether your vote is counted accurately!

This documentary should be viewed by every citizen and legislator in the country. The exit polls which have been very reliable for decades have been stopped, because the polls favored both Gore and Kerry in 2000 and 2004. Please call your local, state and federal representatives to apprise them of this documentary. It is a must see. If this fixing of our votes continues unchecked, our country is lost to criminals who are on a campaign to lose the democracy and install a meritocracy/fascism state.

4) Anyone who tempered, manipulated, or impede election transparency should have his or her name and photograph posted at all polling location as warning. 5) All voting records must be transparent and available to the public no matter when, where, how, who, what, why, for as long as this universe exist. 6) If the voting devices are insufficient to support the number of voters or voter satisfaction, any traditionally acceptable voting methods must be applied immediately upon voters' request even if it means by ways of raising hands or handwriting the vote and be certified and witnessed by election officials. It is election officials' responsibility to make sure no one is turned away from voting due to the environment, the facility, the devices, the personnel, the transit, or the safety. It is because of this movie, that I understand the shame and disgrace that we will all be facing should we become complacent from protecting the sacred rights and experience of voting. I for one would not want to be known as the generation that allowed this country's election process be deteriorate and be mocked forever in the history.

Every american who intends to vote in the upcoming election should watch this movie! This documentary is expertly produced by HBO and keeps a fun and gitchy feeling through out while exposing a shocking lackadaisical attitude by election officials. The film is educational and show how citizens can make a difference by simply asking uestions.

I am the Robert that is spoken about in the extra section Glades CO., FL. The people of Glades CO. are honest hard-working and would string a person up from the Courthouse if someone played games with an election.I do not have the time or space to pull all of the flaws of this movie apart.I am not a "Paid Hack" for Diebold. My Politics are way left of Al Gore.Should we question the system--YES!But we should also question this movie. The makers of this film know just enough about IT to scare people. Looking for a "backdoor" on a windows system while it is up and running in your face! You are clueless about IT.Would I change some things--sure. All worthwhile systems evolve. Many elections have been stolen with "paper" ballots. The system is as honest as the people running it and that means us, brothers and sisters, how honest are you? @

This documentary was one of the most frightening things I have ever seen. The ease with which are elections can be manipulated is scary. The fact that Diebold uses deception and tricks of speech to try and weasel out of responsibility is reprehensible. No matter their defense as to why, the fact is that a middle income housewife was able to download their "secret" program and with a little help change the votes of a test election with nothing but a memory card. This film should be seen by every American, regardless of political orientation. A false election is the worst insult to our heritage and every man, woman and child who ever lived and died in this "free" society.

Mandatory viewing for this election year. Fire the independent vendors counting the votes in the various states and start again. Praise these souls who are working to have your votes counted (really counted that is).

An important little documentary that gets at the core issues surrounding electronic voting machines and their ability to be manipulated. If you enjoy living in a free country as much as I do, you'll find this very interesting.

You have to see this. It is truly shocking to see how easily this software can be manipulated by using elementary hacking techniques. It is obvious to me that these companies do not have our interests in mind in the slightest. And it is not a democrat or republican thing either. Both parties’ candidates are seeing irregularities on a regular basis. All of us need to be calling our representatives at the local, state and federal level to let them know we demand independent oversight and testing on these machines.

I really wanted to get behind this movie, but at no time did it provide any evidence that there was any intentional voter fraud of any kind going on. All they did was demonstrate how one could hack a system if they knew everything about how it works. Yay. Machines are just as fallible as people, we get it. Both could be potentially influenced without any accountability. For me, this documentary was just another hot-headed account of what "might" be happening, without any proof presented. As usual, the possibility that simple incompetance is the more likely culprit, rather than some right/left conspiracy, was never addressed.

Very impressive look at the troubling spread of electronic balloting devices. The ease of hacking the machines to create an outcome regardless of the actual vote is very disturbing. The documentary may appear to be just another conspiracy theory, but the actual evidence is persuasive and genuine. I hope everyone views this film before they visit their voting precinct again.

This documentary is on an important subject, but at least the copy I received had the sound somewhat out of synchrozization with the speakers.

OH MY GOD!! I knew about how Diebold purportedly sucks and I'd heard about the voter fraud in Ohio--but to actually see it, to witness it with your own eyes, and to see how the poor blacks in Ohio were relegated to one voting machine with 4-5 hour waits...it's just shocking. It made me so ashamed of this country, this government, and the big corporations who run it (although there was one "YEAH CALIFORNIA!" moment in there). Unfortunately, it does not have a happy ending, and it left us wondering what we could do to help. Very sobering. Everyone should see this, and I know I'll be recommending it to all my friends %26amp; co-workers.
